Max began playing double bass in his home state of Indiana and completed his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where he studied with Kurt Muroki. He just completed his master’s degree at Yale University under the tutelage of Donald Palma. Max enjoys making multimedia pieces and is passionate about contemporary music and art. When he is not working or playing, he spends time reading, making food, and playing with his cat.
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
To be able to pass through solid objects and summon fruit at will.
What is something interesting that people may not know about you?
I like moss!
