Michelle Lewandowski is currently finishing her master’s degree in clarinet performance at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, with a graduate assistantship as the CCM box office assistant manager. Before beginning her studies at CCM she completed her bachelor’s degree in clarinet performance at Michigan State University, during which, she also spent some time studying in central Italy. Her primary teachers have included Jonathan Gunn, Justin O’Dell, Caroline Hartig, and Robert Patterson.
An avid supporter of music education and outreach, Michelle has appeared as a teaching artist at numerous middle schools and high schools throughout the greater Detroit area. As an orchestral musician, she has made appearances with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra (MI), Mason Symphony Orchestra (MI), Detroit Symphony Civic Orchestra, Bay View Festival Orchestra (MI) and the Sewanee Festival Orchestra (TN). This summer, Michelle will be the Marketing/PR intern for the National Repertory Orchestra’s 2014 season and is greatly looking forward to being part of such a fine music organization.
