Bramwell Tovey, conductor, piano

The NRO brings you, “American Splendor” to benefit the Friends of Dillon Ranger District and in memory of longtime Summit County local, Harriett Bobo.  The all-American program features guest conductor and pianist, Bramwell Tovey. Tovey is one of the most beloved conductors of our time and is extremely popular in Bravo!Vail during the summer with both the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. Compositions include Aaron Copland’s, Appalachian Spring, George Gershwin’s, American in Paris and Rhapsody in Blue with Tovey on piano as well as William Grant Still’s, For the Coloured Soldiers Who Died for Democracy.

The NRO welcomes, Grammy and Juno award-winning conductor and composer Bramwell Tovey.  He has most recently added the title of Artistic Director of Calgary Opera Company to his role as Principal Conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra and Artistic Advisor to the Rhode Island Philharmonic.
