The National Repertory Orchestra will be presenting “A Brilliant Evening of Violin Music” on Friday, March 28th, 7:00pm at the Blue River Fine Art Gallery in Breckenridge.  Join in the artistry of violin soloist and NRO Alumni Concertmaster Hugh Palmer as he performs pieces from Brahms, Strauss and much more. He will impress you with his comprehension of musical line, tonal poetry and overall journey.

Hugh Palmer is currently preforming with the New World Symphony. He was co-concertmaster of the National Repertory Orchestra in 2012 and 2013. Hugh received his Artist Diploma at the Colburn Conservatory under Robert Lipsett. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in music performance at Northwestern University under Almita Vamos. He has served as concertmaster of the Colburn and YMF Debut Orchestras, and the Pacific Music and Chautauqua Festival orchestras. About his experience with the NRO, Hugh says, “I had a great time interacting and learning from Mr. Topilow as well as all the great guest conductors. I decided to come back a second year because the opportunity to lead an orchestra for so much music and so many concerts is a great privilege that I couldn’t turn down. Along with that, the hospitality and friendliness of the community of Summit County was so wonderful, I really look forward to seeing everybody again.”
