jo groh ice creamJohanna (Jo) Groh is the Archivist for the Central City Opera House Collection housed at the University of Denver in the Archives and Special Collections department. Jo also has experience working in performance libraries as the head librarian for the Cleveland State Symphony Orchestra, the assistant librarian and researcher with the Colorado Symphony, and as the Assistant Librarian with the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge.  This season she returns to the NRO as Co-Principal Librarian.

Jo serves as a presenter and member of the Performing Arts Roundtable for the Society of American Archivists, as a member of the Education Roundtable and conference presenter for the Music Library Association, and a member at large for the Major Orchestra Library Association. Jo has been published in the Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists newsletter and in the upcoming Performing Arts Resources by the Theater Library Association.

Jo holds degrees in psychology, music performance, and library and information science. While working on her first masters, she was introduced to the world of music librarianship while working for the university music library and volunteering in the Cleveland Orchestra library. Outside the library, Jo enjoys reading nonfiction, watching Law and Order SVU, eating snacks, and annoying her dog Henry.
